Namastey! Welcome to the Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT)

Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT) is a registered Scottish charity (SC044908) and charitable company (Company No. 469306) established in 2014 to promote Hindu spiritual practice, intercultural understanding, and community wellbeing across Aberdeen and the North‑East of Scotland. As custodians of the region’s first and only Hindu temple, we serve as a spiritual home, cultural hub, and community anchor for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Since acquiring the historic Old Stoneywood Church in 2020, the Trust has transformed the site into a vibrant centre of worship, learning, and wellbeing. Today, the temple welcomes more than 600 regular users annually, delivering over 10,000 attendances each year through religious services, cultural education, youth development, and community programmes. AHTT is fully responsible for the running, maintenance, and development of the temple. We are proud to employ a full‑time qualified priest, Pandit Ganesh, who leads daily worship, pastoral support, and festival celebrations.
Our Mission: “To nurture a sacred, integrated and sustainable Hindu Temple that fosters spiritual growth, supports the community and promotes our faith for future generations.”
