Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT) is a registered charitable company (SC044908) company number (469306) that runs the Aberdeen Hindu Temple. The Aberdeen Hindu Temple is the first of its kind in the North East of Scotland and is the only place of worship for the Hindu community in the region. Since the purchase of a property for the temple, religious and pastoral services are being provided to the community in the form of daily prayers, special poojas, festive occasion poojas, meditation services, DoE Duke of Edinburgh volunteering services for the youth (to name a few) by the Aberdeen Hindu Temple. The Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust is solely and completely responsible for the entire running and upkeep of the temple and the services it provides to the community. We are pleased to inform that there’s a full time qualified priest Mr. Ganesh Panditji employed by the trust to look after religious activities.

The temple as it continues to build on its profile, welcomes all the members of the community and extended community in Scotland and the Rest of UK to visit our premises and avail our services, which can be easily accessed via our religious services page here.

There are a number of community organisations in Aberdeen, that come under the umbrella of the AHTT. These are:  AHA Aberdeen Hindu Association, IANES Indian Association of North East Scotland, The Marathi Mandal, Aberdeen Bengali Community association, NHAS Nepali Association, Kannada Association, The Art of Living, Tamil community, Brahmakumaris, The Durga Pooja Committee, The Telugu Community and The SwamiNarayan group.

Through the pandemic the temple has functioned by completely adhering to the COVID restrictions and regulations whilst continuing to serve the community. The spacious ground floor of the temple is now hired out for parties and functions at a very nominal rate.
